At McKinney Competitions, fairness, transparency, and system integrity are fundamental to everything we do. Every eligible entry has an equal opportunity to win, and our technology infrastructure is designed to ensure that results are genuinely random, secure, and independently verified.
The Short Version
When a competition closes, all eligible entries are compiled and a winner is selected at random from the pool of correct entries using a Random Number Generator (RNG). Our RNG and supporting competition software — including ticket processing and instant win allocation — have been independently tested and certified by Gaming Laboratories International (GLI).
What "Random" Means
Random means:
- The outcome cannot be predicted in advance.
- The result cannot be influenced once entries have closed.
- Every valid entry has the same statistical probability of being selected.
How Our Draw Process Works
1. Entries Close
Each competition has a clearly defined closing time. Once the countdown ends, no further entries are accepted and the eligible entry pool is fixed.
2. Eligibility Confirmed
Only entries that meet the eligibility criteria are included in the final draw pool.
3. Random Winner Selection
A winner is selected at random from the pool of eligible entries using our certified RNG system. The selection process is system-driven and cannot be manually altered or influenced.
4. Results Recorded & Published
All draw results are securely recorded and retained as part of our audit trail. Winners are notified directly and published in our Recent Draws section.
Independent Certification by Gaming Laboratories International (GLI)
Our competition platform software has been independently tested and certified by Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), a globally recognised testing and certification laboratory specialising in gaming, lottery, and RNG systems.
GLI conducted technical evaluation and statistical testing of our Random Number Generator (RNG) to confirm that it produces outcomes that are statistically random, non-predictable, and free from bias. Certification verifies that the RNG meets recognised industry standards for randomness and integrity.
Ticket Processing Certification
In addition to RNG testing, GLI certified the integrity of our ticket processing system. This includes validation that:
- Entries are correctly recorded at the point of submission.
- Ticket allocations are securely stored without alteration.
- Entry cut-off times are enforced as configured.
- Competition data cannot be retrospectively modified without system controls and audit logging.
Instant Win Ticket Allocation Certification
For competitions that include Instant Win prizes, GLI tested and certified the allocation logic used to distribute winning tickets. This certification confirms that:
- Instant win outcomes are determined using the certified RNG.
- Winning tickets are allocated in accordance with predefined prize configurations.
- Allocation logic cannot be manually manipulated after configuration.
- All instant win outcomes are securely recorded within the system audit trail.
GLI certification provides independent verification that both our winner selection process and instant win mechanics operate as designed, without bias or interference.
Additional Fairness Safeguards
- Clearly published competition rules and eligibility criteria.
- Secure system architecture and access controls.
- Full audit trail retention for draw and instant win outcomes.
- Transparent winner announcements.
