On the inside the good news continues. This is a lovely place to be and Mercedes are very much ahead of their peers in interior design game at the moment. The dual screen dash and stunning illuminated trio of centre air vents dominate in the dash and compliment the perfectly sized alcantara and leather steering wheel. The bucket seats reaffirm that this is a true AMG car and the natural light pouring in from the panoramic roof make it all a very pleasant place indeed.
The settings are numerous and everything can be set up to suit individual preference including screen displays, illumination colours and driving characteristics. Those driving characteristics are super easy to access via a little dial switch on the lower right side of the steering wheel, a quick rotation anti clockwise brings you into your individual presets and rotating clockwise gives you sport, sport + & race Race, that’s the one you’ll be in the most popping and banging your way around the streets trying to pick a fight with anything that dares to have a go. On the opposing side of the steering wheel there are two shortcut buttons which you can choose the purpose of their operation be it exhaust valves, damping settings, gearbox etc

So How Does it Drive?!
You see this little rocket is not a hot hatch, no this is more, way more and it is very capable of giving many a supercar a seriously hard time indeed. Specs from the transversely mounted roller bearing turbo, hand built 4 cylinder are ‘supposed’ to be. All you really need to know is that it is rapid. In all of its dual clutch gearboxes 8 ratios, a squeeze of the pedal hooks up the all wheel drive transmission and has it away like a scalded cat. The noise, be it artificial or not, coming through the Burmester audio in the cabin is very matched to what the engine and valved performance exhaust is doing.
